If you are registered as a jobseeker with Arbetsförmedlingen, one date runs your month: the 14th.
That is the last day to hand in your aktivitetsrapport, the monthly activity report. Miss it and your money can be affected. Nobody tells you how annoying it is until you are sitting there on the 13th, scrolling through your inbox, trying to remember which jobs you applied for five weeks ago.
I built PlatsAI after watching my wife's job search in Sweden. This report is one of the things the app is designed to take off your plate. Below is what the report is, what goes in it, and exactly what PlatsAI does and does not do about it.
What the aktivitetsrapport is
It is a monthly summary you send to Arbetsförmedlingen showing what you did to find work. You report on the previous month, and you can only submit between the 1st and the 14th.
So activities from September are reported between 1 and 14 October. Activities from October are reported between 1 and 14 November.
Who has to do it: anyone who is unemployed and registered with Arbetsförmedlingen. That includes you if you are doing an internship or job training.
What goes in it
According to Arbetsförmedlingen's own guide, the report should cover:
- Every job you applied for. Advertised jobs, jobs you applied to on your own initiative, and jobs Arbetsförmedlingen pointed you to.
- Any work you did.
- Recruitment meetings you attended.
- Job interviews.
- Studies you took part in.
Three things people tend to miss:
- How many jobs is "enough" is personal. The number is set in your action plan (handlingsplan) with Arbetsförmedlingen, not by a national rule.
- Keep proof for at least three months. Arbetsförmedlingen says to save documents showing you really applied for the jobs you listed, because they sometimes check.
- Do not write that you were sick. Sick days are handled separately, not in this report.
One more detail worth knowing. The first review of your report is automatic. A report with few applications, or the same jobs as last time, or text in the free text box, gets sent to a caseworker for a manual look.
What happens if you miss the 14th
If you get a-kassa, Arbetsförmedlingen notifies your unemployment fund when a report is late or missing. Akademikernas a-kassa describes the steps like this:
- First time: a warning. No money lost.
- Second time: 1 day without compensation.
- Third time: 5 days.
- Fourth time: 10 days.
- Fifth time: you lose the right to compensation until you qualify again.
The count covers every notification Arbetsförmedlingen sends about your job search, not only late reports. So a missed report can land you further down the list than you expect.
There are accepted reasons, such as being seriously ill or Arbetsförmedlingen's system being down. "I forgot" is not one of them.
If you are in a programme rather than on a-kassa, different conditions apply. Check with Arbetsförmedlingen for your own case.
Why it hurts more than it should
The report itself is not complicated. The problem is everything around it.
- Your applications are scattered. Some through Platsbanken, some on LinkedIn, some by email, some on company career pages.
- You fill it in weeks later, from memory.
- The reporting service on Mina sidor is in Swedish. The guide exists in English, the form you fill in online does not.
- You need dates, employers and job titles to match what you actually did, and you need to be able to back it up.
None of this is hard. It is just the kind of admin that gets left until the 13th.
How PlatsAI helps
The idea is simple: if every application is logged at the moment you make it, the report already exists by the end of the month.
1. Applications get logged as you go. When you find a job in PlatsAI, click Track application and the form opens already filled in with the job title, employer and a link to the listing. Save it and the application is logged with its date. Applied somewhere else, like LinkedIn or a company site? Add it manually in a few seconds.

2. Everything sits in one tracker. Each application keeps its date, employer, role, how you applied, the link to the listing, and its status. When you get an interview, you update the status, so that is recorded too.

3. One click gives you the month's report. The AF report button downloads an Excel sheet for the month you pick, with the columns the report asks for: date (datum), employer (arbetsgivare), job title (tjänst) and what you did (åtgärd). You open Mina sidor, log in with BankID, and copy the rows across. A few minutes instead of an evening.
4. You can see how your search is going. The full Excel export has every application plus a monthly summary: how many applications you sent, and how many led to interviews, offers, rejections or no reply at all.
5. Your records stay put. The listing link, the date and the CV you used are kept with each application. That makes the three-month rule easier. Keep your confirmation emails from employers as well, since those are the strongest proof.
What PlatsAI does not do
I would rather you know this now than find out later.
- It does not submit the report for you. You still log in to Mina sidor with BankID and send it yourself. PlatsAI cannot file it on your behalf.
- It is not connected to Arbetsförmedlingen. PlatsAI uses their public job listings. It is an independent tool, not an official service.
- It only knows what you log. Work, studies and recruitment meetings still need to be added by you on Mina sidor.
- It cannot tell you what your plan requires. How many jobs you need to apply for is between you and your caseworker.
Doing it without PlatsAI
You do not need my app to fix this. Two free habits get you most of the way:
- Add activities during the month. Arbetsförmedlingen lets you log in and add activities as you go, then submit when the window opens. Most people do not know this.
- Keep a four-column sheet. Date, employer, job title, where you applied. Fill it in the same minute you send the application.
PlatsAI exists because doing that by hand, next to searching for jobs, tailoring your CV and writing cover letters, is one more thing to hold in your head. If the tracker fills itself while you apply, the report is a side effect.
Try it
PlatsAI has a 7-day free trial with no card required. The application tracker is free to use, and the Excel and AF report exports are included in the Job Seeker plan at 149 SEK/month.
